The Role:

Initially based in London then Mozambique on a 28/28 rotation

The Field Superintendent delivers in country (Mozambique) oversight on all field activities including wellpad and road construction, drilling, well evaluation, coiled tubing, testing, work over and abandonment operations. The position provides assurance that field activities are constructed in an efficient, technically competent, safe, cost effective and environmentally responsible manner. The position reports to the Regional Well Delivery Manager in London.

Minimum of 15+ years of international experience in a broad range of job functions covering drilling engineering, completion engineering, and drilling supervision/ operation's management

Tasks include but may not be limited to:

* Supervision of all field operations Well Delivery is responsible for including the monitoring and management of the performance of all wellsite supervisors, contractors, service companies, and/or vendors.
* Accountable for all operational continuous improvement initiatives and tools e.g. Corrective Action Register, Lessons Learnt Register, Well Site Performance coaching, pre- and post- section meetings.
* Responsible for the overall safety implementation for all field operations.
* Support the coordination of rig moves with rig, trucking, service, and third party personnel.
* Communicate with contractors and service companies for preplanning and job scheduling to minimize downtime.
* Ensure compliance with all company standards and environmental programs.
* Develop performance and commitment among wellsite supervisors, vendors, and service providers
* Manage recruitment and performance of onsite well delivery personnel.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:


A BSc / BEng Degree in an Engineering discipline is desired
* Hold a valid relevant Well Control Certificate (Supervisor Level)
* Fluency in written and spoken use of the English language is required, Portuguese would be an advantage
* Excellent written, spoken, communication, presentation and report writing skills are required
* Advanced knowledge of industry normal practices associated with drilling, testing, work-over, wire-line and
completion operations.
* Understanding of well control techniques
* Recognition of importance of safety and embedding good practices.
* Familiar with API & other recognized industry standards & recommended practices.
* Good leadership and coaching skills.
* Experience of operations in Remote / Harsh locations with challenging logistical issues
* Extensive experience with Land MODUs.
* Proven track record of consistently delivering well campaigns within Budget, Schedule, SHE and Quality targets.
