The Role:
Currently recruiting an Administration and Control Manager in Belgium The duties of the role will be to Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. Assigning activities and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy. Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial local BEGAAP and NBB/EBA regulatory reports or statements.
The Key responsibilities are:
*Produce IFRS financial reporting according to Group accounting policies for consolidated purposes;
*Assist the ATCR Director defining improvements to systems, procedures and in coordinating with ICT upgrades and corrective actions;
*Coordinate and complete SOX audits internal monitoring ; Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of SOX controls (Sarbane and Oxley act) and assessments are maintained ( Process level controls, entity level controls, general computer controls, Fraud controls);
*Maintain the budget and medium term planning of the institution;
*Analyse policies, principles and regulations and establish and enforce proper accounting methods and procedures also taking into account group's Management System Guidelines (MSG);
*Support the ATCR Director when coordinating and completing internal and external audits;
*Manage the team, perform annual evaluation and feedback process, insure adequate training; Oversee operations of the AMVICO department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
*Month and year-end process;
*Check the runs EOD/ check runs EOY (balance sheet and results)participate in EOY tests and preparation of the closing environment;
*Check the update of static data tables in the Core system (currencies, rates, EOD calendar, current accounts closing procedure etc.…);
*Analyse the Trial balance; revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations and equity;
*Review and approved monthly and quarterly IFRS reporting provided by the institution for consolidated purpose, on the group's consolidated platform, prepared according to IFRS group's accounting policies;
*Maintain chart of accounts;
*Review fiscal files and maintain adequate level of knowledge on fiscal matters and issues.
*Correspond with various other departments, requesting their estimations and agreeing on future strategy and estimations to be taken into consideration;
*Manage the preparation of the Quarterly Forecast reporting;
*Analyse costs, commissions, financial margin, variable contributions, securities portfolio, services agreement and the company's actual and prior year performance versus forecast.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills:
*Proven working experience as Accounting & Tax Manager, or Finance and Administration Manager;
*Minimum 5 years' experience;
*Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases;
*Ability to manipulate large amounts of data;
*Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and BEGAAP & IFRS accounting principles, practices, standards, Fiscal laws and regulations;
*Banking and banking regulatory reporting experience would be an asset;
*High attention to detail and accuracy;
*Ability to direct and supervise.
Other Requirements:
*Bachelor or Master Degree in Economics (accounting-tax) or equivalent (i.e. CBC and certified IEC-IAB (Institute des Experts Comptables et Conseillers Fiscaux)
*Good knowledge of English, French; Italian would be an asset.
