The Role:
Working under the supervision of and taking direction from Corporate Policy Advisors:
* support the development of new and updated Corporate Policies and associated corporate governance documents, assisting with research and benchmarking, developing governance content, and performing records maintenance and document management of Corporate Policies;
* participate and assist in providing guidance to Corporate Policy owners with communications, implementation, and monitoring and compliance strategies;
* provide data gathering, analysis and report writing to support decision making, the implementation of business improvement initiatives and governance coordination;
* provide direct input into recommendations and new approaches to help achieve continuous improvement of the governance practices;
* prepare briefs, reports, submissions and written communications for Corporate Compliance team;
* provide document management and system support to ensure that the corporate policy record is consistent and accurate and to ensure technical systems (FileNet and SharePoint) are maintained; and
* ensure Corporate Policies are available in relevant languages, as necessary.
Qualifications and Education
Qualifications:
* strong planning and organizational skills as well as good attention to detail;
* excellent verbal and written communication skills including experience in developing presentations, memos, and other business documentation;
* experience following and improving processes and workflows;
* strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment with stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
* ability to handle multiple priorities and manage major projects to successful completion on tight timeframes;
* superior document drafting abilities; and
* experience using SharePoint and FileNet P8.
Education/Experience:
* Bachelor's degree is a requirement;
* 2-5 years of relevant experience is a requirement;
* existing knowledge of, or an ability to quickly develop, an understanding of the organization's processes and procedures; and
* experience drafting Corporate Policies and procedures is an asset.
