The Role:
Safety, Health, and Security Lead

MAIN FUNCTIONS
This Position focuses on the Golden Pass LNG Export project, including the GPX Plant, Pipeline, and Compressors, including review of Contractor deliverables as well as oversight of project team personnel. The role is characterized by:

* Provides leadership and direction to the GPX SSH team.
* Ensures that SSH plans and procedures (Safety, Security, Health, Emergency Response, Incident Management) are in place to meet the requirements of the EPC Contract, the SSH component of the Project iSSHE Plan, applicable regulations and corporate standards.
* Ensures SSH plans, procedures and programs are implemented in accordance with project expectations, contract conditions and corporate standards.
* Liaise as necessary with the Project Team, EPC Contractor, Golden Pass, client SSH functions (eg. MOH, Global Security, EMDC Safety, ER&S etc) and other organizations and relevant authorities mitigate issues as required.
* Provides active and effective leadership, strategic direction, management and coordination to the project in the areas of SSH.
* Provide assistance and cooperation concerning audits.
* Ensures SSH program costs are managed within budget.
* Facilitates the SLT.
* IIHL incident classification record keeper.
* OI 5.1 system administrator

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides Leadership and Coordination to the Safety, OIMS, Security, Health Advisor and the Site Plant Safety/Health/Security Advisor.
* Reviews for adequacy and endorses EPC contractor SSH plans and procedures.
* Ensures incident investigations satisfactorily determine root causes and appropriate preventive measures and that the preventative measures are acted upon. Ensure proper recordkeeping with input to IMPACT.
* Report or review findings from incident investigations, facilities inspections, or security testing.
* Ensure assessment of risks to health, security and safety are timely and implementation of follow up measures are timely and complete.
* Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and incidents.
* Provision of suitable and current information and supervision concerning health, environmental, security and safety policies and practices.
* Provides Health and Safety coaching and advice to employees and various safety committees as needed and requested.
* Participates as member on the Safety Leadership Steering Committee.
* Leads field safety meetings. Attends periodic Safety Meetings with contractors.
* Review design and recommend safety equipment.
* Identify the safety educational needs of others, developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others.
* Stewardship of project SSHE performance to the SSHE Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Applicants must possess a University degree in Natural or Environmental Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Engineering or some other technical field related to E&R
* Supervisory level position with broad technical and SSH skills and a working knowledge of project management, construction and operations
* 10 years broad-based experience preferred, with prior experience in one or more SSH related role
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; persuasive with strong business perspective
* Adaptable to changing priorities
* Experience with interacting with EPC Contractors
* Experience with interacting with a variety of external entities (e.g., government agencies, local communities)
