The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner for a short term 6 month contract, based from Gladstone. Responsibilities will include:
* Diagnosing the failure mode of equipment (where possible through non-obtrusive means).
* Developing work packages for routine priority corrective work.
* Scoping work with due consideration to risks and controls.
* Retrieving or creating task lists, with manpower requirements and duration estimates.
* Defining and initiating procurement of required materials, services and resources.
* Coordinating with Contracts & Procurement / Purchasing as necessary.
* Preparing necessary documents needed for field execution.
* Initiating Management of Change (MOC), for the execution of the work if required.
* Monitoring critical dates for work in planning queue and raise deviation/deferral requests as required.
* Using and updating library plans.
* Source vendor quotations and generate purchase requisitions.
* Monitoring work being planned and puts it into "job planning complete state" once all requirements are available/met.
* Maintaining a list of "executable" work that the Scheduler can pull from as fill-in work.
* Incorporating improvements from work pack feedback/red-line mark-ups coming from the frontline, such as updating task lists, BOMs, materials data, task durations etc.
* Cataloguing materials items as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Maintaining CMMS- Maximo
* Mechanical maintenance execution and/or supervision
* Knowledge of work management processes
* Development of maintenance and shutdown work packs
* Able to collaborate and communicate well with all stakeholders
* Oil & Gas Experience - LNG Plant preferred
* Knowledge of statutory requirements and management of safety critical equipment
