The Role:
Lead, manage, support, coordinate and interface with the various stakeholders internally and externally for the overall management of the development of client contracts relating to the offshore business by ensuring the companies contractual exposure is addressed, mitigated and closed in timely and efficient manner.

Strategize and coordinate with the group legal team to lead the management of change and dispute resolution relating to the client contract throughout the EPC, operations and decommissioning phases of the project.

Strategize, develop and control contractual arrangements for partnerships for both the EPC and Operations phases of offshore floating facilities,

DIMENSIONS:

Financial Perspective:
 Project secured up to 3 Billion USD investment value
 Estimated annual revenue up to 219 Million USD 219 per project for 20 years charter
 Protect company's liabilities up to 1 Billion USD

Organisation Perspective:
 Direct Reports - 2 Heads

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 Ensure that all terms and conditions with client contracts are aligned with OBU's business objectives and have achieved the necessary endorsement from the OBU Business Committee, Risk Management Committee and Legal Service Unit on tender/bid/binding contractual proposal submissions

 Ensure that terms and conditions agreed are aligned with the technical and administrative requirements as defined in the contract.

 Ensure that lessons learnt for previous contracts are assessed in and integrated into future contracts.

 Ensure that due diligence of partnerships is complete and comprehensive and that any risks are identified and mitigated through contractual or administrative processes.

 Ensure relevant terms and conditions and administrative requirements of client contracts are effectively communicated to the procurement and subcontracts group to ensure back to back coverage where applicable.

 Obtain necessary endorsement from the OBC, RMC and LCSC on tender/bid/binding contractual proposal submissions.


PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Coordinate and interface with stakeholders (Business Development/Asset Management/Engineering etc) to support the strategy and processes for initiating, developing, evaluating and negotiating contracts or agreements in pursuing OBU's business objectives
 Lead, and recommend the complete formulation of contracts documentation inclusive of the respective exhibits between Client, OBU and its Partners whilst ensuring company's interests are safeguarded.
 Support, guide and advise on the clarifications and negotiations with Client for a favourable contract position that safeguard company's interest which satisfy the business objective.
 Review, guide and provide advice on clients contractual provisions during project execution to the respective project manager/director for all projects in ensuring compliance of the contractual obligations and requirement in order to minimize or mitigate risk.
 Review, guide and provide advice on clients contractual provisions during operations to the respective asset manager/director for all assets to ensure compliance of the contractual obligations and requirement in order to minimize or mitigate risk.
 Establish and maintain a controlled registry of the contract documentation in accordance with OBU's document management system and ensure the relevant documentation is made accessible to the interested stakeholders in a timely manner.
 Support the project management team in the building the case to support the contractual change, variation or dispute arising for all projects during project execution and post project phase.
 Lead, guide and independently review periodic contract performance reports ensuring potential contractual risks and disputed change orders are updated accurately reported to senior management in a timely manner.
 Provide specific guidance to drive the development of a ready pool of capable and competent Contract Management professionals to best support the Group's business growth and operational needs.

KEY CHALLENGES:

 Management of a broad spectrum of activities encompassing from Contract Management and matters related to EPCIC and Asset Operations.
 Multi-dimensional Requirement: Different regulation and policies adopted by different countries Internationally resulting with various requirement to understand and comply, e.g. tax regime, local content, company setup, etc.
 Ensuring effective coordinating and interfaces with the project team, regional business manager, all departments in OBU and Service Units in ensuring continuous compliance in ever changing and complex Oil & Gas regulations, procedures, statutes and procedures.

EXPERIENCE:
 Ideally will have 20 - 30 years relevant experience in the execution of Major Offshore Oil & Gas EPCIC projects.
 Proven FPSO project experience

QUALIFICATION:
 Ideally will hold a Degree in Law/Engineering or Equivalent
 MSc. / MBA or related additional professional qualification is an advantage.

SKILLS:
 Excellent understanding of the contractual and commercial aspects of FPSO EPCIC contracts
 Excellent understanding of the contractual and commercial aspects of FPSO Lease contracts
