The Role:
The Subsea & Turret Systems Commissioning Lead will be responsible for both the onshore and offshore commissioning of the FPSO turret facilities and the offshore commissioning of the subsea systems and pipelines.

This position will lead the subsea commissioning team in preparing for commissioning and start-up of the offshore facilities. Significant co-ordination with the subsea and pipelines delivery teams will be required to ensure that hand-over from mechanical completion to commissioning and start-up is as seamless as possible.

This position will initially commence in Perth to support commissioning assurance deliverable development and will transfer to the topsides engineering contractor's office once a successful FPSO contractor is announced.
Following detailed engineering, this position will relocate to the turret fabrication and FPSO integration yards to support mechanical completion and onshore commissioning activities.

This position will also transfer offshore to support hookup, commissioning and startup activities.

Key Accountabilities

* Provide input to the Commissioning and Handover philosophy and Commissioning Handover and Execution Plan (CHEP) within scope of role
* Ensure the Commissioning and start-up activities and sequence for subsea and pipeline activities align with the FPSO programme on the integrated schedule
* Develop commissioning and start-up execution strategies for subsea, pipeline and FPSO Turret facilities. Ensure that at completion of detailed design that permanent and temporary facilities are in-place to implement the commissioning strategies.
* Maximise onshore commissioning and preparation for offshore commissioning activities to ensure an efficient offshore, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and handover.
* Coordinate the interface between FPSO and subsea and pipelines teams for all commissioning activities.
* Define the Completions Management System (CMS) and the inspection test records required for system completion.
* Development of the Commissioning and start-up and initial operations procedures for the Turret and Subsea systems.
* Participate and influence engineering activities (VIP's, PFD, P&ID, layout, PHA and model reviews) to facilitate Commissioning and start-up of equipment.
* With fabrication site teams, manage onshore Commissioning progress and highlight areas of concern.
* Monitor and follow up of progress at suppliers, subcontractors and construction sites to ensure timely completion and handover.
* Attend FAT and SAT activities based on equipment criticality.
* Lead offshore commissioning activities for Turret and Subsea systems.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Minimum 20 years relevant experience assuming a Trade / operator background or 15+ years with a BSc / BEng engineering degree.
* 10+ years' experience of planning and implementation of offshore commissioning of subsea production and gas export pipeline systems.
* 10+ years' experience of onshore construction and offshore installation and hook up.
* 5+ years' Experience in a leadership position such as Commissioning Lead or Manager.
* Strong background in subsea tiebacks, pipeline infrastructure, manifolds, flexible risers, umbilical's and subsea control systems.
* Demonstrated interpersonal / teambuilding skills.
* Strong written and oral communication skills and leadership and organization skills.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Strong knowledge of the ConocoPhillips CPMS guidelines and standards.
* Previous experience of working in Australia and knowledge of NOPSEMA regulatory regime.
