The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Environmental Specialist to provide Environmental technical and regulatory support to an LNG Life Extension Project. Main focus will be to ensure timely delivery of required Project environmental regulatory approvals.

Key Accountabilities
* Completion of environmental regulatory approvals and supporting studies/surveys for the LNG Life Extension Project.
* Provide input into Project design development to ensure compliance with environmental regulatory requirements e.g. ALARP demonstration, environmental acceptability.
* Completion of environmental deliverables, and provision of environmental input to other discipline deliverables, as required for Company capital project assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities
* Strong Safety Leadership and a commitment to supporting a zero incident culture.
* Deliver required Environmental Regulatory Approvals for the LNG Life Extension subsea and onshore scopes.
* Execute required supporting environmental surveys and studies in support of LNG Life Extension environmental regulatory approvals.
* Support Company regulator engagement and stakeholder consultation activities as required
* Ensure a coordinated and consistent approach for environmental approvals across Company Capital Projects and base Operations.
* Identify environmental risks, issues & opportunities and coordinate mitigation strategies with Project team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Strong technical knowledge in the environmental management field, as relevant to the oil and gas industry.
* Strong leadership, organizational, & problem-solving skills; and ability to influence decision makers.
* Strong interpersonal skills; ability to engage and maintain positive relations with Operations, Capital Projects team members, external stakeholders, internal business partners & natural resource management / regulatory agencies.
* Strong communication (written, oral & formal presentation/PowerPoint) skills essential.
* Proven ability to interact within layers of internal & external organizations, partners and government organizations and non-government organizations.
* Motivated & can work effectively with minimal supervision.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree in environmental engineering or science, biology or related sciences.
* Extensive direct environmental approvals (e.g. EIS, EP, Facility Authorisations) & compliance experience with emphasis on upstream development, brownfield modifications, production and/or decommissioning operations - offshore and onshore.
* Working knowledge of Australian State/Territory/Commonwealth legislation and regulations and its application to environmental regulatory approvals for upstream oil & gas projects.
* Proven major project delivery
* Demonstrated project management experience (e.g. project planning, prioritization, scheduling, critical path analysis, cost tracking, contractor/consultant engagement/management).
* Experience with input to project execution documents e.g. HSE management plans Environmental Basis of Design & Philosophies, etc.
* Experience with stakeholder consultation, in relation to environmental approvals development.
